Ramjeet Kaur Virik, Dutch Lady

KUALA LUMPUR – Dutch Lady Milk Industries Malaysia has promoted marketing director, consumer dairy, Ramjeet Kaur Virik, to managing director, effective July 2. She replaces Tarang Gupta, who has held the position since 2018. Virik has been the marketing director, consumer dairy for the last four years and was previously the international marketing manager as FrieslandCampina Asia Singapore.

Before that, she was marketing manager at Frisian Flag Indonesia, a condensed milk brand under FrieslandCampina. She first joined Dutch Lady in 2011 in the same capacity. Prior to that, Virik has held various commercial roles, namely in marketing, sales and shopper functions in other FMCG organisations such as British American Tobacco and Heineken Malaysia.

According to FrieslandCampina’s website, Virik said previously that she made the switch from beer to the dairy industry as she had wanted to work for a truly purposeful company. “FrieslandCampina makes excellent nutrition and this really appealed to me as a mother of young children,” she said previously. A+M has reached out to DLMI for more information.

Separately last August, Dutch Lady’s parent company FrieslandCampina appointed Nathalie Brochand as its new global digital and marketing director for its business group Specialised Nutrition. In her role, Brochand was to lead the integrated global marketing and digital team at FrieslandCampina Specialised Nutrition, and replaced Arthur Law who left the company after six years.
