Women in Leadership Journey – Program Overview

Since 2016, Developing Global Leaders Asia has engaged female leaders from a variety of organisations in APAC in transformative multi-step journeys, including assessments, pre-work, workshops, industry expert sharing, individual follow-up coaching sessions, social media group alumni and debrief with line manager.

The program is designed

1. to support organisations to strengthen their female pipeline for future senior leadership roles, and
2. to advance participants’ careers by equipping them with tools, knowledge and future-proof leadership skills.

Employers report that upon completion of the program, participants have demonstrated improved leadership capability, enhanced communication and influencing skills, stronger executive presence and taken greater initiatives to support and mentor female colleagues. Many have been promoted as a result.

Inclusive Leadership Forum

Developing Global Leaders Asia is holding its first annual virtual global Inclusive Leadership Forum in April 2021. Embracing and promoting inclusive behaviour helps organisations increase diversity and drive performance. This not-for-profit event aims to share ideas, experiences and best practices so participants can learn how top organisations develop more inclusive cultures and sustainable, diverse workforces.

The series of insightful interviews, interactive panel discussions and impactful presentations from business leaders and subject matter experts will cover the following subjects:

  • The business case for inclusion
  • Navigating the challenges of creating an inclusive culture during the pandemic. The role of the leadership team and Human Resources
  • Cultural agility: Developing and promoting local talent in Asia
  • Creating a gender balanced leadership pipeline
  • The Generation Gap: an opportunity to drive transformational change?
