About Us

The Women Icons Network (WIN) allows businesses to champion women and gender balance at workplaces, thereby enabling a successful and profitable business. A technologically powered, globally scalable online platform, WIN amplifies the voices of women at workplace and also enables them to share their experiences.

Gender inequality is not only a pressing moral and social issue, but also a critical economic challenge. If women – who account for half the world’s population – do not achieve their full economic potential, the global economy will suffer. The economic implications of lack of parity between men and women are profound. Even after decades of progress the gap remains large. Businesses would benefit by focussing on the large economic opportunity of improving gender parity in their workforce.

To help policy makers, business leaders and other stakeholders prioritize action in a global effort to close the gender gap, the Women Icons Network’s online platform provides an objective collation, display and assessment of the efforts and initiatives being undertaken by companies. WIN works with all stakeholders to identify, sensitize and equip towards building gender balanced workplaces globally.

Vision

To learn from the experiences of women employees, share the best practices of corporates and leverage the expertise of leaders to promote gender equal workplaces.

Mission

• Provide a platform for women to rate their experiences and voice their concerns on gender equality practices of their current and past employers

• Enable corporates to disclose their best practices and efforts towards creating gender equal workplaces

• Facilitate women to share information and leaders to present their point of view on achieving gender equality

Our Story

The Women Icons Network initiative commenced in 2016 when we started talking to and interviewing women achievers and leaders across South & South East Asia. These conversations made us realise that the success stories of women leaders need to be publicly recognized, so that such women not only become role models for future generations but also help change societal mindsets. This led to the establishment of the Women Icons Summit & Awards in 2017 followed by expansion of the same to Malaysia in 2018. Beyond the annual summits in Singapore and Malaysia, the Women Icons Network has continued having conversations with women leaders on a regular basis. Based on these conversations and feedback from the women leaders, we realized that it is important to work with organisations to move the needle on achieving gender balance at workplaces. The Women Icons Network platform is an initiative at being a catalyst in this endeavour.
